Cups & Disks
LINEBOAR cups and disks are made with the highest quality urethane available. This is combined with special abrasion resistant inserts.
Under controlled testing, our materials have, so far, significantly outperformed standard urethane.
Features:
- Stiffer profile for enhanced scraping, and reduced bypass.
- Larger surface area for enhanced carrying capacity and improved cleaning. In situations where 4 ordinary cups are needed to carry a tool, often only 2 LINEBOAR cups are required.
- LINEBOAR cups are not easily turned inside out like ordinary cups.
- Available in all sizes from 6″ to 24″ inches. Larger cup sizes may be ordered, but a minimum order size may be required.
- Upon request, cups can be poured without wear strips for better performance in acetylene welded lines.

Conical Cup:
The conical cup is recommended for pig runs where the amount of debris in the pipe is unknown or where restrictions of up to 20% of the pipe diameter are suspected. It is also superior as a carrying cup for heavier pigs.

Scraper Cup:
The scraper cup has much the same profile as the conical cup with the exception of having a built in scraping edge. This profile is recommended for most cleaning/de-waxing jobs.

Disk Cup:
The disk cup has the most aggressive profile. It combines a leading disk and a carrier cup in one. The disk cup is less flexible than the other profiles and is recommended to be used as a final pig in a cleaning/de-waxing operation It is less likely to “run over” debris than other profiles.

Disks:
Disks are primarily used in bidirectional applications, or in batching situations, where a tight sealing cup may not be desired. They are also useful for some cleaning and scraping operations.
Short Cups:
Short cups are primarily designed for carrying smart pigs. The short cup is capable of doing some light to medium cleaning. Short cups are much less expensive than the other profiles.
Here are two pictures of profiles we’ve produced in our Short Cups line:
