Piggable Valve

One of our focuses is providing a pressure isolation pipeline service using the proprietary Lineboar Piggable Valve.

The Piggable Valve is a remotely operated (using true through-wall communication), piggable device that is designed to isolate pressure on one or both sides of a repair or maintenance site.

Use of the Piggable Valve allows maintenance or repair of a pipeline on one side of the tool, while the pipeline remains under pressure on the other. The maintenance or repair can take place without purging or de-pressurizing the entire line. Isolation is performed, without cutting into the line, and no appurtenances are left on or in the line after the job is completed.

Think of the Piggable Valve as a piggable, temporary valve. Typical applications are for isolating a pipeline to perform:

  1. Trap and valve maintenance, repair or replacement
  2. Road and river crossings
  3. Mid-line repairs, inspection
  4. Lateral line installations and isolations
  5. Repair or replacement of hot-tap fittings
