1. Three sets/isolations (including a hydrotest) in one run:
Lineboar recently completed a crude pipeline project using an 8” Piggable Valve to repair a leak (with an existing valve isolating the other side of the site). What made the project unique was that once the leak was repaired and the site was being filled another leak was found in the area. So Lineboar again set the Piggable Valve to isolate a second time for the second repair.

Once the Piggable Valve was unset the customer asked if Lineboar would pig the tool downstream and set the Piggable Valve next to a valve to act as a pressure barrier to hydrotest the repairs and the line. Lineboar did so, setting the tool for the 3rd time in the line, and the pressure test was performed. Once complete the tool was unset and pigged out.

2. Two repairs in one line using two Piggable Valves (straddles):
Lineboar also recently completed a project using 2 x 8” Piggable Valves in a crude pipeline. The tools were launched about 800 feet apart and pigged to the repair location. They maintained their 800 feet of separation almost exactly during the 30 mile pigging to the repair site. Once at the location both tools were set to isolate both sides of the repair.

The two tools were used again to isolate a second repair in the same line.

On both jobs, No Digging, No Holes, No Fittings.

How can we help you with your pipeline?
